The temperatures may be dropping (thankfully), but Dickie Brennan’s family of restaurants are providing a bit of warming comfort in the form of hot cocktails. New this year, they’re launching “Temperature Drinks.” Consider it Palace Cafe’s “Temperature Lunch’s” much younger and colder sister.
From Saturday, December 1st to the last day of February, the price of the hot cocktail will be tethered to the forecasted low for the day. So a low of 47 degrees equals a $4.70 hot cocktail.
Each one of their four restaurants: Palace Café, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, Bourbon House and Tableau is offering a special hot cocktail. Take a chilly stroll and get more than one.* It’s the perfect way to make the most of New Orleans’ short-lived cold weather.
The Temperature Drink offerings include:
Palace Café: Hot Spiced Rum
Sailor Jerry, pear-cinnamon shrub, and velvet falernum, topped with whipped cream and garnished with a cinnamon stick.
Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse: Hot Toddy
Tyrconnell Irish Whiskey, lemon juice, local honey, apple & cardamom cider. (Recipe)
Bourbon House: Yule Hot Cider
Buffalo Trace bourbon, house-made mulled cider, apple simple syrup, and lemon juice with a cinnamon stick garnish. (Recipe)
Goslings Black Seal rum, spiced compound butter, hot water and cinnamon. (Recipe)
All of the four restaurants are located within walking distance of each other in the French Quarter. Make Temperature Drinks part of your weekend Quarter plans – what could be more perfect than a hot cocktail following a Saints cool win?
*Two drinks maximum per person, per day, per restaurant.
