Brennan Bells are Ringing

What items do you like to collect? Stamps? Trading cards? Coins? Bourbon? How about bells? Bells you say? That seems like an odd item to collect. While the Brennan restaurant family of New Orleans has created a tradition that makes you WANT to add holiday bells to your list of collectible items.

For the past few decades they’ve had special ribbon created for each restaurant which they string with a brass bell. These sought after bells are then given out at lunch from December 1st until Christmas Eve. It’s not uncommon to see guests coming in to one establishment adorned with a half dozen bells from the other New Orleans Brennan restaurants.

It’s the time of year for family traditions, and the special holiday bells are one of theirs. Plus, it makes a holiday lunch that much more festive with a jingle here and a jingle there.
