What if we told you there was a plant-based burger on the market that tastes like meat, has the texture of meat and cooks like meat (medium-rare anyone?)? You’d be skeptical, and frankly so were we when Impossible Burger approached us about offering their new and improved Impossible Burger 2.0 on Palace Cafe’s menu. But one bite and we were honestly astonished. Our chefs all agreed that in a blind taste test, most would believe it was indeed ground beef.
In fact, Digital Trend’s pick for the top tech winner at this month’s Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas wasn’t a electronic at all, but rather Impossible Burger 2.0. These burgers are intended for people who for health reasons or ethical reasons want to cut back on beef consumption.
Touted as “a burger that could truly wean people off their meat lust,” Impossible Burger 2.0 is not yet available everywhere, but it is available on Palace Café lunch menu (alongside our classic beef version). Let your curiosity get the best of you and stop in for your meat-free indulgence!
